Subsidies for the purchase and conversion of electric boats

and port infrastructure

Subsidies can now be applied for in the Balearic Islands to convert your boat to electric motorization. Whether you are a company or an individual, we help you throughout the process of applying for the subsidy and converting your boat into 100% electric or hybrid.

On December 10, the public call for subsidies for decarbonization of the nautical sector of the Balearic Islands has been published in the BOIB within the actions provided for in the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU).


With an endowment of 15 million euros, the subsidies can begin to be requested from December 15, and the term ends on June 30. The funds will be assigned according to a rigorous order of entry, until they are exhausted.

There are 4 programs that can be applied for:

  • PROGRAM 1 - New boats

    Purchase of new zero emission vessels

  • PROGRAM 2 - Conversion of boats

    Conversion of 6th and 7th list vessels to zero emissions

  • PROGRAM 3 - Companies

    Infrastructures for companies that make the conversions to zero emissions

  • PROGRAM 4 - Transport of passengers, goods and fishing

    Transformation of passenger transport vessels of a tourist or recreational nature and transport of goods

  • AID FOR PORTS

    On December 3, the public call for subsidies for the promotion of renewable generation facilities in ports of the Balearic Islands with photovoltaic, wind, wave or marine technology, electrical storage, electrical recharging infrastructure has been published in the BOIB or renewable hydrogen for electric or hydrogen boats.
